This Fall I’ll be hosting a Wearable Tech Open Studio at Interaccess.  Read the post to learn more, and please come out!

Wearables at Open Studio

Where: InterAccess Studio
When: Last Wednesday of every month, 7-10pm

InterAccess is super excited about the start of a new Wearables meet-up group organised by Erin Lewis, a Toronto-based multimedia artist and wearable technology guru.

What are wearables exactly? The term wearables — or wearable technology, e-garments and fashion electronics — refers to clothing and accessories that incorporate computer and electronic technologies into an item’s design and function. The technological components incorporated into a design might serve a practical or aesthetic purpose, or even both! They can be anything from chic tailored coats with subtle integrated bike lights, to belts that allow you to listen to your gut, to illuminated formal wear.

The new Wearables group will meet on during Open Studio hours on the last Wednesday of every month, with the first meeting taking place on Wednesday, September 28th from 7-10pm. Bring along your wearables projects, ideas and questions!
